Combined method of well point precipitation and electroosmosis

Process principle

The electroosmosis well point precipitation uses the well point tube itself as the cathode and is arranged along the periphery of the foundation pit, groove, and ditch. Steel pipes with a diameter of 50-70mm or steel bars with a diameter of 25mm or more are used as anodes, buried inside the well point tube ring. The cathode and anode are connected to the corresponding electrodes of the DC welding machine using BX type copper core rubber wire or flat steel, steel bars, etc. After being electrified, the voltage drop is applied to move the negatively charged soil particles towards the anode direction, which is called electrophoretic action. The positively charged pore water is concentrated towards the cathode direction, resulting in electroosmosis. Under the dual effects of electroosmosis and vacuum, the water in the clay is forced to flow from the inside out into the vicinity of the well point pipe and accumulate. The well point pipe quickly discharges the water, allowing the well point pipe to maintain continuous pumping. The groundwater level gradually decreases, and the soil layer between the electrodes forms an electric curtain, Due to the action of an electric field, groundwater is prevented from flowing into the pit from all around. The electrophoretic effect generated by electroosmosis can densify the soil around the anode and prevent clay particles from blocking the filter screen of the well point pipe, ensuring normal pumping at the well point.

The electric infiltration well point precipitation accelerates the water flow in the voids of cohesive soil, playing a certain role in drainage, thereby improving the drainage efficiency of soft soil foundation and consolidating the soil. This method can reduce the necessary foundation pit support, reduce the amount of earthwork excavation, and reduce the impact of earthwork excavation on pile quality in projects with Pile foundation. This method has simple equipment, convenient construction, and significant effects.

Applicable scope

Suitable for precipitation in muddy soil, especially in coastal areas with thick silt layers.
